In This Unit of Study…

Students utilize their knowledge of fact fluency and how rectangular arrays represent multiplication to identify all factor pairs for a given number up to 144. Students use the amount of factor pairs to determine if the number is prime or composite.

  • MA.4.AR.3.1 Determine factor pairs for a whole number from 0 to 144. Determine whether a whole number from 0 to 144 is prime, composite or neither.
  • MA.4.NSO.2.1 Recall multiplication facts with factors up to 12 and related division facts with automaticity.
